1. Understand that God loves you and has a plan for life.
"For God so loved the world the He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
2. Realize that you are a sinner and need forgiveness.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23
3. By faith believe in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, and confess your sins.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Romans 10:9
4. Realize that you are a sinner and need forgiveness.
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that you died for my sins. I repent of my sins and invite you to come into my heart and life. I now trust you as my Savior and make you the Lord of my life. Amen."
